Barton Community Beacon Center (BCBC) offers free Computer, English/Pre-GED, Citizenship, Parenting classes and other activities for community residents . Contact BCBC at 540-9100/541-6833 The Mommy and Me Program works to develop the nurturing bond between infant and caregiver, who need strong parental bonding during the most important period of their development. The program emphasizes providing therapeutic development and interaction skills for hands-on” learning for children and their caregiver in a natural environment. This project targets children ages 0-5 years .

has shown that an adult mentor in a youth's life can enhance their educational goals, attainment of these goals, and increase
the likelihood that they will avoid risk taking behaviors. We are looking for adults who have a love for kids.The Intergenerational
Mentoring Program is in need of caring adults to devote at least four to eight hours a month mentoring a child in grade 3-12.
