Family/Community Involvement is crucial to a child social, emotional, physical, cognitive growth and development.

The Barton Community Beacon Center (BCBC) is a one-stop shop of human/social services located at 1700 Barton Rd., Lake Worth, FL (Barton Elementary School). BCBC serves a daily average of two hundred six (206) youth ages 4-13. Program hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am -8:00 pm. year-round.

Beacon Centers are partnerships between schools, community-based organizations and Community Advisory Councils. They provide academic, social, recreational and cultural activities assisting youth, parents and neighbors to create supports leading to positive youth development, academic enrichment, healthy family functioning, and neighbor/adult leadership capacity building and growth.

Basic English and Pre-GED
Computer and information technology literacy
Computer Repair (each participant receives a free computer upon completion of this workshop)
Civics & Government ( good for those applying to become Citizen)
Immigration Service (in partnership with Haitian Citizen United Taskforce Inc.- HCUT)
Mom & Me/parenting ( parents with young children)
Share (for those looking to reduce food cost)
Referral as needed/requested
