 Youth Zone: The place for youth ages 5-11

Keeping children safe during the after school hours when parents are still working is very important to our society. According to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice Statistical data (2007) shown that more  youth  are involved in illegal activities  during 2:00-8:00 pm. For The Children Inc. offers children a safe, fun and learning environment.

Children's Services Council  (CSC) of Palm Beach County has been one of the major supporters of For The Children Inc.  since April 1, 2000 to present. We thank you for your continued support.

All of our services are in a first come  and first serve basis. FTC offers quality and affordable educational, recreational, developmental appropriate programs for youth ages 5 to high school. FTC offers family and community building activities that promote self-awareness, problem solving skills, parent/community involvement, language classes, citizenship, advocacy, group interaction, youth leadership skills, character development, linkage to other human/social services.


Youth Zone serves children in grade K-5.


Osborne After School Program (OCASP)

located at 1718 South Douglas St. Lake Worth, Fl 33460.
Program capacity is to serve fifty (50) children ages 3-12.


Barton Community Beacon Center (BCBC)
is a one stop shop of human and social services
at Barton Elementary School located at 1700 Barton Rd.
 Lake Worth, FL 33460.
Program capacity 300 children.

Program Hours

Regular School Days: Monday to Friday from 2:00-6:00 PM.

Half days: 11:30 AM-6:00 PM.

School holidays and summer months: from 7:30 AM-5:00 PM.

Proof of Free/lunch is needed to receive sliding fee scale.
Higher rate applies once program contracted numbers are met.

Youth Zone: We provide youth  with individualize  and small group tutoring  instruction in the area of reading, writing and math for those youngsters with FCAT level 1 & 2 with paid certified teachers or volunteers from the Palm Beach Community College, Lake Worth Kiwanis etc.

If you can spare an hour a week to tutor a child, please call us at 561-493-1190.

Club offering:
 
Dance, drama, video production, cooking, gardening, youth council/leadership training, visual arts, flag football, basketball, step team, computer literacy/repair, photography, music -drum,boys club, girls club, service learning projects, crafts, science etc.

Weekly & Monthly outings:
Local and out of county trips are scheduled to reward youth with good attendance, behavior and grades. Parent/guardian is strongly encourage to participate in all events.
